MagicJack has unveiled a new device that allows cell phones to be used for free over the internet.Users can offset accumulated cellular minutes which could result in savings of several thousand dollars annually. A magicJack account costs only $20 a year.
The latest version of the magicJack device utilizes femtocell technology. This is technology that is equivalent to placing a small cell tower in the home. What makes magicJack’s implementation of the technology unique, besides its small form factor, is that it is not limited to a specific mobile phone service.
